The Air Force of the Future

The Air Force has long struggled to replace older aircraft with ones better suited to future combat. Disputes in the Pacific and fighting in Ukraine have cast a spotlight on this need. With F-35s, KC-46 tankers, B-21 stealth bombers, and more advanced drones hitting the tarmac, what does a modernized Air Force look like? Is there a future for 4th generation aircraft in theaters other than China? In this session, Defense One will talk to US Air Force leaders to explore the future of the Air Force fleet and potential changes to its operations.
