A Path to Army Modernization: Prioritizing the Mission Network

Last year, the Army released its Unified Network Plan. The UNP is designed to create an operational framework and environment to converge enterprise and tactical capabilities while enabling multi-domain operations. A key objective is to align multiple, complex network modernization, data, cloud and convergence efforts. While the Army has made enormous progress in modernizing its tactical network capabilities, there is still work to be done to establish a standards based network architecture by synchronizing numerous horizontal capabilities such as SIPR Modernization, hybrid cloud, VDI, service management, and a regionalized voice modernization solution. During this session, Verizon will share perspectives on the synchronization between the Army’s enterprise and tactical capabilities of the unified network.
